Throttle Friction Install Instructions
1. Remove rubber grip (Use air pressure in end hole)
2. Remove B arm at the rear end of the throttle shaft (Index B arm to shaft hole) (These holes are builder drilled and are probably not centered)
3. Remove throttle shaft by sliding forward (May have to sightly flex inboard to clear windshield)
4. Rough up approx. 5/8” up to the 1 1/8” grip tube & clean with Acetone
5. Check fit Delrin collar on grip tube as well as collective tube (If collective tube has been chromed sand either Delrin or Tube)
6. Apply Epoxy glue to both Delrin and grip tube and slide to Delrin stop (Delrin has a shoulder approx. 5/8”. Verify no glue other than that area)
7. Insert throttle assembly on the collective shaft, verify alignment (Do not forget Aluminum lock collar)
8. Let cure @ ½ hour (Clean any excess glue immediately. Do not get any on threads)
9. Re-assemble B arm (Noting previous index marks) (Do not re-drill. If it doesn’t line up try rotating shaft 180 degrees)
10. Trim rubber grip approx... ½” (Use air pressure to re-install) (Do not use any glue)
11. Set friction to desired “break away” friction (It may take a few adjustments as things wear in a bit)
